I spent the night alone in the forgotten desert of the Pacific Northwest! This area, known as the Channeled Scablands, is a place where few backpackers ever go, probably because it's not what people think of when they think of Washington State, or the Pacific Northwest. Most backpackers head for the famous rocky coasts, or the legendary mountains of this region. But just east of those mountains, and often forgotten, is a remarkable desert that holds incredible geological significance and unique beauty unlike anywhere in the world! The deserts of Utah and Arizona certainly deserve their iconic status, but backpacking solo through this overlooked desert region left me with a deep love for its singular beauty, and a fascination for how its grand coulees have helped unlock the secrets of how the earth as we know it was formed!

En mai comme chaque année je part en rando.... Mais cette fois ci j'hésite entre 3 randos .... Je vous les présente pour que vous puissiez me donner votre avis et m'aider à choisir.
3 randonnées donc : le GR120, le sentier du littoral le lont de la mer du nord. De Bray dunes à coté de Dunkerque jusqu'au Tréport ... J'aimerais vous faire découvrir ma région et il est vrai que c'est à coté de chez moi ... mais le temps incertain et la difficulté de bivouaquer me font hésiter
Le GR5 : la partie des plaines d'Alsace me tente bien... une nouvelle région, pas trop de montagne, et une facilité (j'espère) de bivouaquer. Par contre un peu compliqué d'accés et de retour.
Enfin Bénévent l'Abbaye - Rocamadour, une météo assurée, un bivouac facile, de beaux paysages.... mais un déplacement couteux et un peu compliqué d'accés.
