⁣Les Têtes brûlées est un groupe camerounais connu pour son bikutsi dansant et électrique.


⁣Leur carrière commence dans les années 1980. Après leur premier passage à la télévision camerounaise en 1987, les Têtes Brûlées entrent dans la légende. Leur musique reprend des rythmes ancestraux du bikutsi mais mis au goût du jour dans un style beaucoup plus électrique[2] grâce notamment au guitariste Zanzibar. Avec leurs costumes excentriques, leurs crânes à moitié rasés et la peinture blanche sur leurs corps ils deviennent rapidement le groupe de bikutsi le plus connu au Cameroun et dans le monde. Malgré tout, de nombreux critiques et fans du genre n'acceptent que difficilement leur genre pop et électrique[

Luego de haber participado en el festival Felabration 2015, que se lleva a cabo en Lagos, Nigeria, y haber compartido con la familia Kuti, Newen Afrobeat se reencuentra con Seun en Chile en febrero del 2016, bajo el marco del festival Womad.
Durante esos días se grabó esta sesión en La Makinita, interpretando una energética versión del tema Opposite People, con la colaboración de Cheick Tidiane Seck y algunos músicos de la legendaria banda Egypt 80.

After participating in the 2015 Felabration festival, which is held in Lagos, Nigeria, and have shared with the Kuti family, Newen Afrobeat meets Seun in Chile, in February 2016, under the Womad festival.
This session was recorded during those days in La Makinita, playing an energetic version of the song Opposite People, with the collaboration of Cheick Tidiane and some musicians from the legendary Egypt 80 band.

On this week’s episode, I talk about what a stylist is and does, and speak to several stylists about how they got their start, what they’re looking for in assistants, and what their current job is. To start, I run through my own background, which began in magazines (Vogue, Interview), and call Samira Nasr, now the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, who early in her career worked alongside me as an assistant at Vogue. I also discuss my process of collaborating with fashion brands and how I pull and choose the best looks for my clients.

In addition, I speak with Derek Blasberg, head of fashion and beauty partnerships at YouTube, who also used to work with me at Vogue; Jareg Eng, the founder of Just Jared, who intimately understands the importance of red carpet photos; and the celebrity stylist Jason Rembert, who shares his circuitous path to success.
